Governors, in partnership with the Head Teacher, are responsible for the strategic direction of the school. The governing body at Aldborough Primary School comprises of parents of children currently at the school in addition to LA representatives, Community Governors and Staff Governors.
Most of the work of governors is through committes. At Aldborough there are three sub-committees that discuss Finance & Personnel, Curriculum and Premises issues. The outcomes of these meetings are then put to the whole governing body each half term.
Anyone interested in finding out what being a governor involves should look at the DfES's governor website at http://www.dfes.gov.uk/governor/index.cfm where the full text of the Regulations can be found.
A list of Governors may be found in the school prospectus available on the prospectus page of this website.
