Class 3

Mrs Tanya Blake is the Class 3 teacher. Mrs Blake is the lead teacher for Mathematics, manages the role of SENCO and is responsible for all the tasks associated with the maintenace of the school's travel plan and Healthy School Status. Mrs Blake joined the school as member of the leadership team.

Mrs Blake has worked with the University of First Age, looking at the ways children learn and has completed her 2 years training to become a 'Hamlyn Fellow'. Mrs Blake heads up our Eco work in the school and offers a lunchtime dance club. She too has trained with the National Drama 4 Learning and Creativity Project Mrs Blake is the school representative on the Pre School (Stepping Stones) Committee.

Children in class 3 are supported by Mr Duncan Green, who has re trained via the Open University, to become a Teaching Assistant. Mr Green supports all children but particularly enjoys the small group work that encourages children to have another go at learning some key skills for literacy and numeracy. Mr Green is trained as an administrator for the Virtual Leraning Environment and is the key liaison person for linking the school to community based projects, including those related to personal and social education. He is also the member of staff taking responsibilty for football club in the school.

The class comprises of year 2 and year 3 children.
